An Introduction to Graphic Design I (DDSN 301)

This course prepares students pursuing a career in the graphic communication fields with an in-depth exploration of the principles of graphic design. Strong emphasis is given to the development of visual acumen. Specific focus will be on design and gestalt principles; integration of text and image on the two-dimensional page; and introduction to typographic exploration. This course is a foundation course for all design students and explores interactivity across all forms of visual communication.
